Aviation Teamwork - Needs, Wants, and Frustrations

How we live and work across our teams and boundaries is more important than any equipment and technology that we have in aviation. This course is a non-traditional leadership presentation that utilizes real-world stories as a means of enhancing operational effectiveness and safety. It includes a unique focus on the criticalness of identifying and empowering individual needs, wants, and attitudes.

2-DAY TACTICAL FLIGHT OFFICER/PILOT INFRARED TACTICS COURSE
The aircrew thermographer course helps you maximize the ability of your law enforcement helicopter, thermal imager, and searchlight.
Students will be instructed on topics such as law enforcement crew resource management, aviation safety, infrared technology, suspect apprehension, aircraft positioning, vehicle pursuits, and many other applicable airborne law enforcement topics.
This is the ONLY course of its kind worldwide
2-DAY SIDESHOW/STREET RACING ENFORCEMENT COURSE
This course is designed to provide instruction to prevent and deter illegal sideshows. Instruction covers every facet of Sideshow Enforcement including the Dangers of sideshows, their evolution to what they have become today, tactics and failed tactics previously attempted, Officer Safety in enforcement, proven tactics in shutting down and deterring sideshows, legal implications, and establishing local ordinances and prosecution of arrests and citations.
Sideshow Enforcement is recommended for current airborne law enforcement Officers and units, patrol officers, commanders, and special operations personnel that may be tasked with enforcement at sideshow events.

Are you ready to Get Real? Teams of two will participate in a clinical scenario-based interaction where they will respond to a challenging situation. The challenge will assess the team's clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, teamwork communication, and situational awareness. A panel of judges will evaluate their performance in a closed environment and provide valuable feedback.

When does registration open?
Registration opens March 15, 2023.
Will CE Credit be awarded?
Yes! ASTNA and ECHO will provide CEHs for all providers.
How can I have my program fund my registration?
Please email tmason@echoflightcrew.org
Do I need to bring a flight suit?
While not required, it is encouraged! Show off your program!
Can I edit my registration?
Yes, click here to edit your registration. Note - you may not cancel a registration this way.
Is ECHO membership required?
Yes, and ECHO is free to join. Please click JOIN ECHO above.
What are the food and beverage options?
ECHO provides daily meals for all attendees at no additional charge! Further, there will be daily happy hours and complimentary coffee options.
Can I only take one of the TFO Workshops?
Yes - Select that option in your registration, then select the 2-day course you'd like to take.
Which airport do I fly into?
San Diego International Airport (SAN).

The conference center is about 5 miles from the airport. Rideshares are available.
When will the full agenda be released?
The final agenda will be released in the spring. Ahead of that, sessions and workshops will be announced and included with registration.
Should I rent a car?
It's probably not necessary for ECHO San Diego. Most places are accessible by a quick rideshare.
